The second cohort of the Momentum Accelerator concluded with a pitch event after a 16-week growth programme.

The accelerator programme is tailored to support healthcare and life science companies whose innovations are already established and ready to scale within the NHS.

Over eight sessions the programme helps participating companies sharpen their value proposition, connect with funders and plan for growth and spread. The programme is wrapped up with the last session being an in person pitching event.

At the pitch event, each company presented the story behind their innovation, what it aims to solve, how it works, and the value it could offer to the health and care system.

After each short presentation, they received questions and verbal and written feedback from an audience of peers, partners and the Health Innovation North West Coast team. The feedback is designed to help the companies sharpen their value proposition.

Indi Singh, Commercial Programme Manager at Health Innovation North West Coast, said: “Pitch Day brings together the insights and learnings from the past 16 weeks, offering SMEs the opportunity to present their refined value propositions to a panel of experts and receive valuable feedback. Now in its second year, the programme has built on the successes of its inaugural run, allowing us to further enhance the experience for participating SMEs. We are confident that the programme will continue to evolve and be even stronger next year.”

Kevin Moore, Chief Medical Officer, Salutare, said:  “The pitch day was superb, the others pitching won me over with their presentations. During the programme Indi Singh and Mike Kenny have been really helpful, providing contacts for us. Moving forward, I see this as the beginning of a long-term collaboration.”

Sabbah Janvier, NHS and Public Sector Lead, Sisu Health, said: “Thanks to the learning from the Momentum Programme, we will be making sure we reach out to the correct contacts and working on refining our value proposition.”

Simon Pickup, Head of health, Swaetcoin, said “My biggest learning from the programme was taking the solution and language we use and translating that into a real value proposition for public health. It’s been interesting meeting the partners during this programme to see what support they are offering.”

We are grateful to our partners and innovators for shaping such a rich and engaging 2025 Momentum. Health Innovation North West Coast will continue to work with these companies to explore opportunities for further spread and adoption.
