Health Innovation North West Coast and Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust have joined forces with Cheshire and Merseyside Health and Care Partnership to create a website for suppliers with innovative solutions to COVID-19 challenges.
The new service is aimed at those suppliers who have been directed by the Department of Health and Social Care to donate or supply to their local community, and at smaller companies that are not currently part of the NHS supply chain.

Our team in Lancashire and South Cumbria is coordinating efforts to ensure donations of supplies are reaching the healthcare front line. The North and Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce has launched a website that encourages businesses to make donations which the Health Innovation North West Coast team then directs to the areas of greatest need.
The chamber of commerce says it can call on drivers to collect equipment and deliver it to NHS organisations.

In Liverpool City Region, the Health Innovation North West Coast is part of the Growth Platform’s support for the Merseyside Resilience Forum in coordinating the provision of personal protective equipment (PPE) for frontline workers.

Warrington Borough Council is asking communities and businesses for donations which can be made at Orford Jubilee Hub or Warrington Town Hall from 9.30am-4pm each day.

All offers of support made to health service colleagues in the North West Coast can be directed to innovationexchange@innovationagencynwc.nhs.uk.
