The Business Plan 2019-2020 sets out how the Innovation Agency refreshed its priorities in line with the updated NHS Long Term Plan and a renewed five‑year licence for Academic Health Science Networks.
It describes how national programmes, system partnerships and economic growth activity were aligned to accelerate the adoption and spread of innovation across the North West Coast.
The plan outlines six core goals focused on system transformation, innovation exchange and economic growth, digital health, patient safety, national AHSN collaboration, and building a culture where innovation can thrive. It highlights work with Integrated Care Systems, the expansion of the Innovation Exchange, delivery of national patient safety and adoption programmes, support for SMEs, and the strengthening of evaluation, coaching and patient and public involvement to maximise impact.
