The Business Plan 2021-2022 sets out how the Innovation Agency moved from immediate pandemic response into recovery, refocusing on nationally prioritised innovation programmes while continuing to support the evolving needs of local health and care systems across the North West Coast.
The plan outlines priorities across patient safety, cardiovascular and respiratory disease prevention, mental health, workforce innovation, digital transformation, and enterprise and economic growth. It highlights the organisation’s role in supporting nationally commissioned programmes, accelerating the adoption of proven innovations, and strengthening system capability through collaboration, evaluation and coaching as Integrated Care Systems continued to develop.
