This series of interactive, virtual educational events for primary care discussed CVD prevention in the COVID-19 era.

Each webinar focused on Atrial Fibrillation, Blood Pressure or Cholesterol, discussing local data and giving practical advice on how to maintain high-quality patient care in this area during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The webinars featured short presentations by leading local speakers and included updates on local and national initiatives in CVD prevention, as well as the latest thinking about identifying and managing high-risk patients using remote technologies.

The webinars were designed to be interactive and participants encouraged to raise clinical questions prior and during the webinar which were moderated by local CCG CVD leads.

The second webinar focused on Blood Pressure and featured:

  • Current local data
  • Risk stratification and quality improvement
  • Remote monitoring – when and how to use it
