Liverpool Women’s Hospital, Maternity Neonatal Safety Improvement Programme (MatNeoSIP) and the North West Neonatal Operational Delivery Network (NWNODN) are collaborating on an interactive study day as part of our optimisation of the preterm infant week.
Why is this important?
Collaboratively, MatNeoSIP and the NWNODN, have been supporting maternity and neonatal teams across the Northwest to implement the optimisation of the pre-term infant care bundle. There is strong evidence that babies who receive all aspects of the care bundle have better outcomes. A focus for this year will include update on the work we have been doing on antenatal steroids over the last 12 months, early breast milk and care of the nano preterm. As always, we will include a parent's perspective on the optimisation pathway.
The event is free, but places are limited to four per Trust. Please ensure you include representatives from both neonatal and maternity teams. Lunch and refreshments will be included.
