LCR Health Matters launch event

This event was the launch of our new collaborative programme designed to connect Liverpool City Region businesses with world-class healthcare and technology partners to support company scale-up.
 
LCR Health Matters, part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund, will accelerate innovation and growth by supporting ambitious businesses to better understand, work with and sell to the health and social care markets.
 
Building on earlier programmes, we will support innovative Liverpool City Region businesses capable of moving into, or growing within, the health and care sectors with new or existing services or products. LCR Health Matters will fill gaps in earlier programmes by providing mechanisms to validate the benefits of an innovation in a practical (real-world) setting, a key activity to support health system uptake. The programme will also support the region’s ambitions to address the Industrial Strategy’s Grand Challenges and wider activities.
 
We heard from the LCR Mayor Steve Rotheram, Dr Liz Mear, Chief Executive of the Innovation Agency, and a selection of companies. There was also an opportunity for networking.
