Collaborative Masterclass: AI readiness

NHS North West Leadership Academy, Mersey Internal Audit Agency (MIAA), Advancing Quality Alliance (Aqua), North West Employers (NWE) and the North West Association of Directors of Adults Social Care Services (ADASS) work in partnership to bring you a series of collaborative masterclasses. Together they are an influential partnership formed from cross sector organisations in the North West that represent the NHS, health and social care and local government.

This interactive masterclass explores how public sector organizations in the North West can embrace artificial intelligence (AI) in a way that is ethical, impactful, and sustainable. Designed for leaders and practitioners navigating digital transformation, the session demystifies AI, outlines governance and risk considerations, and showcases real-world use cases from health and local government. Through practical tools and discussions, you'll gain insight into how to manage the human side of technological change, ensure ethical adoption, and unlock AI’s potential within your organization, without leaving your workforce behind.

During this masterclass the collaborative will:

• Explain core AI concepts and terminology in a public sector context
• Identify relevant governance, legal, and ethical frameworks
• Evaluate risks associated with AI
• Assess the practical potential of AI through real case studies in healthcare and local government
• Explore the implications of AI for your own organisation
